Born in France in 1961, Philippe Guyony graduated in business from the universities of Valenciennes in the Nord-Pas de Calais, and Bloomington in IndianaPhilippe now leads a marketing organisation in the American power generation industry. Very well done. A comprehensive book about the Vincent Motorcycles. The research on the different specials was outstanding and very interesting. For anyone who is in the Vincent world, I would highly recommend they get this book and read it!
As a student of Vincent history and owner of one of the beasts, I can say unequivocally that Mr. Guyony has done a masterful job presenting details of the marque. At first glance Chapter One of, Vincent Motorcycles - The Untold Story since 1946, appears to be a rehash of the Sevenage Twin. But once you delve deeper many back stories revel interesting facts, I for one, had never read before. For me this alone was worth the price of admission.However the real meat of this book is the Vincent “Specials†which are covered in detail over the next seven chapters. Once again Mr. Guyony has done his homework. Tracking down the dozens of custom builders that have surfaced over the past 70 years to put their spin on Vincent history.Hundreds of black & white and color illustrations, many of them period images, bring the action home. From street specials to radical track monsters no stone is left unturned.Rick S.
I discovered and purchased an unassembled Egli-Vincent project about 6 months ago.This book has provided information and inspiration as I have struggled to build an Egli.The history and supporting documentation has been invaluable. Hundreds of period and current photos have been of great value to me.This is my first Vincent project. The author's efforts have saved me countless hours of research.The book deserves a place on every classic motorcycle enthusiasts reference shelf.

I have owned an Egli-Vincent since 2004. Philippe's book is accurate and well-written, from my experience with the make and the Vincent Owner's Club. I would recommend it to anyone wishing to know more about Vincent history.
