Not at all for a beginner! You need to be an advanced student to understand and get anything out of this book. I've used Photoshop for many years - but not for digital painting - I found this book very confusing.

So much information it's overwhelming. I'm like 1/4th the way through it and I have to re read a lot of it to get it to sink in, don't know if I'm daft or if it's just this confusing, probably both. I do understand a lot more about digital painting now and I hope to learn more. I've attached a work in progress so don't judge me to hard but I used what I could understand

I ordered this book as a "throw in" just because I felt I might need it later, but it turned out to be the best book of my bundle! It is extremely detailed in ways to utilize Photoshop if you're interested in character design. It explains step-by-step how to achieve various textures and forms. If you're interested in digital art and character design, this book is a must!

I hesitantly got this book because I love one of the artist's work that is featured in this book and it did not disappoint. The book brought in a lot of different artists with different styles and it helped me to learn various ways to represent a character. The book didn't just get into how to develop a character artistically, but also how they use programs to get their work done.

Note: I've worked as a professional portrait painter in traditional mediums and now work full time as a digital painting instructor. If you're a beginner to drawing and painting the human form, this book is NOT FOR YOU. If you have experience with gesture, life drawing, anatomy, light, color, etc. then this book is a good introduction to digital techniques (if you skip past the horrible drawing lesson sections.)I'll try to sum things up to make this as useful as possible to possible buyers, but it's difficult to do as many chapters and drawings in this book made me pull my hair out, bury myself alive, and burn the entire concept of art itself to a pile of ashes.CONS:The chapters on color scheme, drawing form, anatomy, gesture drawing, character types, composition, body types, posing, etc. are worse than neutral, they are actively inaccurate, badly drawn, hindering to the development of drawing/painting skills and WRONG. I know I'm coming off heated here, but I can't emphasize this enough: if you are looking for instruction on improving your drawing and painting skills, DO NOT take the advice of this book.Color schemes: The examples given are all either horribly desaturated, badly balanced, ignorant of how to create good skin tones, or completely misguided on creating mood and atmosphere. It's all worse than worthless, it's wrong.Form, anatomy, gesture, facial/body construction, posing, etc.: PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD IGNORE ANYTHING THIS BOOK TELLS YOU!! It relies on comic book stereotypes for anatomy and posing, resulting in awkward, stilted, cliché, horrible drawings if what you're looking for is basic gesture instruction. The bone structure and musculature is all off, they tried to use traditional Bridgman style proportions but clearly don't use that style regularly because their sketches and gestures look awkward, off-balance, flat and dead. Their notes on distinguishing male and female anatomy is so highly stylized it's useless unless you want to draw the same cartoon man and woman over and over and over. Their stylizations to turn their comic style faces into even more stylized comic style faces is heavy handed and the resulting faces are neutral to strange and off-putting. Then, on the same page they'll toss in a picture of a highly rendered woman's face with the most bland, typical, unremarkable features (you know the type.. Tiny nose, huge eyes, same pursed super model lips, chin whatever as every woman on any wizards of the coast card ever made). And why even throw that in? To try to convince readers that yes, the illustrator CAN paint, despite everything else on the page? It seems very obvious the painter learned to render one imaginary woman's face very very carefully and never learned how to do anything else. And they instruct you to draw your quick posing gestures with wobbly lines, completely flat, no hint of mass or believable movement.. They look like the drawings of a high school freshman, AT BEST. If you're looking to learn, don't waste your time listening to artists who are no better at this than you are! Good NIGHT.This is the step by step of how to draw hands: Outline a hand, with all anatomy already placed and detailed. (okay????? Impossible?? WRONG??) Add a flat color skintone (like cartoons do!) Add lighting.^Those instructions are not only TOTALLY UNHELPFUL, they're also WRONG. No portrait teacher or art teacher or artist will EVER suggest this!!! It's nuts!! How is this... Fwoo.Character types: You already know everything they know, I promise. If you really want to read four paragraphs about how erotic and strong pin-up "character types" are, or need to be told that to draw a villain you ought to draw whatever you want, no rules, no suggestions except to add angry eyebrows.. Well then.. You do you. Again, highly stylized sketches clearly drawn for the book are awkward, rushed, and not pleasing to look at. Finished art the illustrator probably did 3 years ago for something totally unrelated is highly rendered, boring, and unremarkable. It is the same woman or man in various awkward poses wearing costumes you've seen a million times before and probably better designed.Composition: Have you ever heard of the golden ratio? Well this writer has, and between it and the rule of thirds, you could learn this chapter better with two Google searches. Also, don't base all of your compositions on these two things. It is not a good idea.Storytelling and moods: If the writer had any basic knowledge of color and human emotion, this chapter would be worth reviewing.Honestly, here are a list of other chapters that will not only not teach you anything helpful, but will also attempt to torpedo the instruction of artists who care about you: body type and skin, designing and painting the face (only partially bad), painting hair (gets SO CLOSE to being useful but misses critical first steps), pose and background (the return of the horrible gestures), honestly.. The drawing and art basics chapters.PROS: Didn't think I was going to get here, did you? Well thank you for your attention and here's some positivity. This book does a fair job of introducing technical basics (photoshop tools). Although everything feels a bit rushed, the program use directions are helpful. The chapters showing workflow are cool if you have some experience, it's interesting to see how different artists build up their paintings. They would be helpful to follow step by step if you're just beginning and want to copy someone else's work to build up some foundational habits. Some of them skip over large chunks of work that are basically just "use your art skills to color", so you get that line drawing to fully colored thing that was very frustrating when I was young and impatient. The quick tips are hit and miss. Believe them on their hair painting techniques, run away when they try to tell you what a Male Ear looks like in contrast to a Female Ear or how using only brown and beige is a good idea when trying to paint Youthful Skin. My favorite was the Thin Lips tip that apparently used Gigi Hadid as a reference. That's as thin as they get, folks! Followed immediately by "Voluptuous Pout" and then "Male Nose"? Boy do I love how every man I know has that typical Male Nose.Texture techniques such as lace, leather, silk, glasses etc could be useful though! So I'm not just hating irrationally here.My takeaway is this. If you're very VERY comfortable drawing and painting portraits, human anatomy, etc. and would like to transition these skills into digital work, this book will give you a lot of good tips and tricks to get you started. Making brushes, how to avoid the slick digital fake look, quick techniques to create texture, etc. are all solid. If you are trying to learn how to draw and paint, this is quicksand. You'll spend years undoing the bad habits this book teaches, IF you're tenacious. If you want to get into sweatshop digital painting and crank out the same fantasy characters over and over for Fiverr, this is exactly the book you want.

Beginner's Guide to Digital Painting in Photoshop is a helpful guide for digital painters tackling character art. It's a 224-page paperback artbook published by 3Dtotal so the presentation style is quite similar to their other books which are filled with screenshots and instructions. The first few chapters by Benita Winckler covers the basics of character design, more on the design aspect than on digital painting, things like what makes a character appealing or an idea work. It deals with colours, anatomy and postures, compositions and other portrait drawing related topics. The next few chapters on Bram "Boco" Sels goes into the digital painting of a character and builds on the art fundamentals covers in the first few chapters. Bram's use of colours and understanding of tone looks amazing. The other chapters feature several artists which each going through their digital painting process of a character from start to finish. So you get to see more variety of characters which includes sci-fi, fantasy and the traditional portraits. Then it's followed by a Quick Tips section with many little mini tutorials that focus on certain features of the characters, e.g. different types of hair, skin, eyes, nose, mouth, clothing material. The last two chapters are the artists gallery and a glossary of terms for beginners. It's a helpful and insightful book for digital painting beginners. Love this book, it offers a lot of tips for starting a drawing, coloring, and how to use Photoshop. Even though I don't own Photoshop a lot of these tips are transferable to similar programs like manga studio. Really worth it

As a fine art painter crossing the digital valley this book is a huge help for character design from start to finish using photo shop. Beautiful examples and it even provide's keyboard shortcuts as well to help you learn. Worth every penny in my opinion.

This is a perfect example of "Occam's Razor". This book gets right to the point and gives excellent examples of all the basic concepts that a beginner needs to know.On each page, there is a talking point with a representative photo. Now I can hear people complain that the pictures are too small. This is probably true for the Kindle format, but if you use the zoom control, there will be less of a problem. For the price of this book, this is a pretty lame complaint. There are far too many beginning instructional photography books for Kindle that don't even have any pictures, it's pretty ridiculous.I really don't think a beginning photographer will be disappointed and I believe that they will enjoy and learn from this instructional book.

This is not very well written; there's poor grammar and misspellings. It has other writing errors and the organization is not stellar. Most of the information is good, not great, but I wish it was easier to digest. Not a great start for an absolute newbie because you'd probably be just trying to figure out what's what and this assumes you already know quite a bit and assumes you understand when sarcasm is being used. I really don't think an instructional manual should be sarcastic at all. It is also a bit condescending to those who are just starting out.

I just got out my camera to take up photography again and was looking for a book to help me brush up on the basics. This book did a great job! It explained very simply, and with pictures, all the things I need to know to take great pictures. I have been playing around with the different tips I learned in the book, and I am very happy with the many different techniques I have tried. I have gotten a bunch of great shots and I have this book to thank!

Digital Photography for Beginners is a practical guide that helps you better understand what exactly you need to take a better picture. The ISO was always something that screwed me up. This book taught me to use 100 ISO when there's good lighting- and the subject is stationary. And you might use 400 if it was dark out and your focus was in motion!Gonna put those tips to good use! This book has oodles of information to learn about digital photography and I recommend you read it- nice job!

My brother likes taking pictures of his friends and for natural scenes but he is just an amateur who is still learning photography. I got this book for him to help him to learn more skills to be able to take more professional pictures. He liked this book very much and said that he learned a lot of good tips and lessons from this book which helped him to capture magnificent photos.

Always wanted to get into photography and recently was offered a decent DSLR camera from a friend and I jumped on it right away. I had no clue what I was doing so I decided to learn at least the basics so I could take better photos. This book taught me about lighting, aperature, coloriing, zoom, and other important things to get started taking better photos. The breakdowns were great and the info was helpful. I would recommend this to others...

I got a new digital camera for Christmas, so wanted some help learning to use it to the best advantage, and not always just in auto mode. This book is well-written and includes lots of practical tips. I appreciated the example images too, which you don’t always get with an e-book. The descriptions of what settings to use when are helpful, and the explanations are informative, but not too technical.

Nice book. I haven't used a camera in years and have been reluctant to because of technical advances. I thought this book did a great job of keeping it simple and easy and practical for someone like myself that doesn't know a lot. Covered all the beginner mistakes. Great advice, tips and suggestions. Also shows some really great pictures as examples.

The Antlered Ship, by Dashka Slater Terry Fan

From School Library Journal

K-Gr 2—A fox sets sail in search of answers to questions about life, the universe, and everything in this picture book fantasy. Marco the fox wonders about many things, but the other foxes are more concerned with chicken soup than with philosophy. When an antlered ship appears, captained by deer traveling to an island of "tall, sweet grass and short, sweet trees," Marco seizes the opportunity to seek out other foxes who may have answers. The crew sails across treacherous seas, triumphing over sharp rocks and fierce pirates before arriving safely at Sweet Tree Island. Alas, there are no foxes to be found, and Marco's travels have only yielded more questions. Yet, he also has new friends and the chance for further adventures—perhaps that is enough. Slater's adventure narrative is an epic journey with a classic feel, perfectly scaled for a picture-book audience. The straightforward text is lyrical, rhythmic, and begs to be read aloud. Graphite-and-pen illustrations by the Fan Brothers depict expressive, realistically drawn animals sporting the occasional hat or bandanna. As the distinctive prow of the antlered ship sails through ethereal seascapes, young audiences can follow its path through the detailed maps included on the endpapers. VERDICT Marco's discovery that the world is full of questions, but not always answers, is at once profound and entirely accessible to young audiences. Make this gently thrilling celebration of life's big questions a first-purchase.—Chelsea Couillard-Smith, Hennepin County Library, MN

Fan brothers bring their arresting artistry, first seen in The Night Gardener (2016), to Slater’s tale of Marco, an inquisitive fox searching for answers in the wider world. Marco’s rather philosophical mind is teeming with questions: “Why don’t trees ever talk? How deep does the sun go when it sinks into the sea?” The unexpected arrival of a large ship—adorned with a magnificent masthead of a stag’s tree-like antlers—offers Marco the chance to seek out the answers his fellow foxes can’t provide. Marco joins the ship's deer crew, along with a flock of adventurous pigeons, and the animals set sail for Sweet Tree Island. Their journey is fraught with stormy seas, paltry meals, sharp rocks, and a pirate hoard, but once safely on the island Marco gains some insight at last. Finely detailed illustrations in graphite and ballpoint pen evoke the dramatic moments of Slater’s story as effectively as the contemplative, such as when turbulent greengray seas give way to a star-studded sky, or in the peachy sunset washing over Marco and his new friends. Young readers will revel in the whimsical touches, like the peg-legged pigeon sailor and the imaginative map gracing the book’s endpapers. This gorgeous, eye-opening adventure is an engrossing reading experience that proudly touts curiosity and finding friendship in kindred spirits. — Julia Smith (Booklist, STARRED REVIEW June 1, 2017)A philosophical fox full of questions boards a ship with strangers and discovers that finding friends is even better than finding answers. Russet-furred Marco wonders about everything. His fellow foxes care mainly about dinner. When a great, antlered wooden ship, captained by a deer named Sylvia, docks in the harbor, Marco goes down to see it. Intrigued by the possibility of finding other foxes who share his curiosity, Marco decides to set sail, as do an adventurous flock of pigeons led by Victor, pictured as a one-legged bird in a bandanna. While they struggle a bit with the unfamiliar tasks and are beset by the typical dangers that sailors face, Marco, Sylvia, and Victor each contribute to the success of their journey. In the mostly dreamy, delicate pen-and-pencil illustrations, colored digitally, Marco the fox and the other animals are shown as sapient but not completely anthropomorphized. The antlered ship is delightfully detailed and decorated, the pirates our heroes encounter are appropriately toothy and threatening (even the cutlass-wielding mouse), and the sepia-colored maps on the endpapers feature deliciously evocative names. The old-fashioned appearance of the Fans' artwork perfectly suits Slater's contemplative, musing tone. While the ending is hardly a surprise, it feels right, true, and not the least bit clichéd. A beautifully composed package filled with whimsy and wisdom—the story of this unique vessel will inspire and entertain thoughtful listeners. (Picture book. 4-7) (Kirkus, STARRED REVIEW 7/15/17)Marco, a fox, thirsts to know everything: “Why don’t trees ever talk? How deep does the sun go when it sinks into the sea?” A ship appears off the coast of Marco’s forest. It’s crewed by deer (they’re poor sailors, they admit), and its figurehead is a stag with a massive set of antlers. Together with a flock of pigeons, Marco embarks on a nautical adventure in hopes of locating foxes who can answer his questions. The sailors encounter storms, dangerous rocks, and pirates before finding the island refuge they seek. In spreads that evoke seafaring motifs from the Odyssey to Treasure Island, the Fan brothers (The Night Gardener) lavish care on every delicate detail, from the ship’s rigging to the foam on the waves. Breathtaking seascapes alternate with cozy scenes below decks as predators and prey huddle peaceably. Slater (Escargot) creates a story to lose oneself in, an adventure packed with risk and possibility. The ship becomes a community, and Marco and his questions part of its journey. What a delightful book and story! As with The Night Gardner, there is amazing art on every single page. AND there is a map on both the inside front and back covers...to trace and follow this seafaring adventure. On top of it all, not only does the book have a beautiful jacket; but it also looks beautiful "naked". I mean, what can be better than that? This is a wonderfully told story of friendship and inquisitiveness of one little fox who has soooo many questions that he goes on a sailing adventure with the most unlikely of crew in search for answers. For me, it was the illustrations that tied the story together. The blending and shading of colour is beautiful. But even more, it is the depiction and expressions of the animal characters that bring the story to life. Why is it that a story of talking animals is more memorable, powerful and seems to make so much more sense than one with people?

As a grandmother who has continued to collect illustrated children's books even though my children are old enough to be grandparents, it was the cover of The Antlered Ship that caught me. I offer no apology for having judged this book by its cover for its promise is fulfilled. Less immediate has been my appreciation of the text, but after repeated out loud re-reads over several days, pacing my reading to the page art, I have no reservations as to how well words and image are wedded. For me, the book is an absolute joy.

I adored The Night Gardener by the Fan Brothers. Here is another beautifully created story with their illustrations, this time written by Daska Slater. We first meet Marco, a beautiful fox, a questioner, with no other fox companions who will answer his questions. Or when they do, it is with disinterest. He asks things like “Why do some songs make you happy and others make you sad?” This “antlered” ship is immediately intriguing as it wanders to land, with three deer disembarking and sharing that they’re lost. Marco, a few pigeons, a bear and a moose greet them and discover a seaworthy crew is needed. Marco thinks he must join them to search for other foxes in order to answer some of his questions. The pigeon, Victor, says his flock will also join in, “to have adventures.” The adventure begins, and the questions continue as they work hard, then venture into a great storm. “Why is water so wet?” The rest of the story satisfies as challenges are met and overcome and the mysteries of the voyage are resolved, but we are left with questions. The map on the endpapers helps the reader follow the voyage, and guess what might be next. It’s a fascinating and gorgeous book!

Take any number of picture books published in a given year. Read them all, cover to cover. Digest them. Ponder them. Then, I have no doubt, you’ll want to sort them. You’ll want to categorize them in some way. Maybe it’ll be the same rote categorizations we see all the time. Maybe you’ll get a little goofy. You may, for example, begin to notice how many books involve bespectacled mice breaking down the fourth wall, or a plethora of sentient cheese. But if you take a step back and broaden the fields a little, you can look at picture books in terms of scope. One genre that particularly entices me is the quest picture book. At anywhere between 32 and 48 pages, it would seem impossible that a picture book storyline would have the ability to send its hero on a quest. Yet time and time again, to varying degrees of success, authors and artists have sent their wayward characters off on noteworthy adventures. The latest book to slot neatly into this category is “The Antlered Ship.” A gorgeous epic filled with equal parts adventure and philosophy, this is one of those books that hankers to be an instant classic and comes darn well close to the mark.It was Marco that saw the antlered ship when it arrived, lost, at his island’s harbor. Until then he had found that for all that he was bursting with questions about the world (“Why don’t trees ever talk? Why is water so wet?”) none of the other foxes on his island ever took any interest in answering them. Perhaps if he joined the ship and set forth to sail to sea he’d find an island where foxes thought the way he did. The journey, however, is not without peril. The deer that crew it are a fearful bunch and the pigeons that sign on uneasy with the amount of work involved. It is Marco who steers them out of storms and misery. It is the pigeon Victor that leads the ship through the sharpest of rocks. And it is the deer Sylvia gives the orders to fight off piratical invaders. In the end, Marco does not find what he thought he was looking for. He finds something better. He finds friends and a purpose. So what does a quest picture book entail? Well, first and foremost you need to bond the reader to the main character. This can happen any number of ways. You might see the hero being kind to a friend, as in “Nobody Likes a Goblin” by Ben Hatke. Or you might make them sympathetic in some way. In “Journey” by Aaron Becker we see a girl try and fail to get the attention of her mother, father, and older sister. The child reader, regardless of whether or not they have siblings or parents of their own, can relate. Similarly, in “The Antlered Ship” the fox character is different from its compatriots. The other foxes aren’t mean to it or anything, but when it asks questions ranging from the mundane to the philosophical they respond with honest bafflement. He doesn’t fit in. And instantly we understand why he must leave. Next the adventure must involve travel in some way. Ships do very well in these narratives. "Three Bears in a Boat" by David Soman, for example, knew this. Finally, there's the ending. Either the hero goes home, the quest over, or the quest itself is the goal. I think you'll understand which of these apply to this book. Not every picture book makes me think long and hard about its moral but “The Antlered Ship” really gave me food for thought. Not initially, though. The first time I read it I found it visually stimulating but less than entirely enthralling from a storytelling perspective. Happily this feeling changed when I read the book to my small children. Suddenly I found the text improved massively when I was able to read it aloud. This proved to be most true when Marco feels that he has failed in his quest and discusses the matter with Sylvia and Victor. His goal was to find people like himself that are interested in big questions. As it turns out, Sylvia and Victor are not averse to Marco’s questions and are even willing to debate them with him. When he asks, “And what’s the best way to find a friend you can talk to?” they proffer ideas until he concludes, “… I think you make friends by asking them questions.” That’s such an interesting idea to me. It’s basically saying that friendship is largely rooted in showing interest in people outside of yourself. In moving beyond your own self-centered worldview. Not a bad lesson for a picture book, eh?It seems funny to delay it this long, but I haven’t really said anything about the art so far, have I? This is particularly odd when you consider that for many people the art is going to be the primary draw of the book. The Fan Brothers rose to prominence when their previous book “The Night Gardener” (not to be confused with the Jonathan Auxier novel of the same name) appeared on a slew of Mock Caldecott and Best Of lists. Suddenly everyone was very interested in what these Fan Brothers might do. For my part, I liked “The Night Gardener” perfectly well but it didn’t quite do it for me. You know that feeling you get when you know an author or an illustrator is capable of so much more than their most recent project? I knew these guys had an “Antlered Ship” inside somewhere. I just had to wait around long enough to see it.And what a visual feast this puppy is too. First and foremost its publisher, Beach Lane Books, has spared no expense in its make-up. They’ve even gone so far as to spend extra money to make the book as pleasant a tactile experience as it is a visible one. Go on. Touch the cover. Feel the high caliber paper stock. I don’t mean to be beholden to blatant pandering on the part of a publisher, but combining that feel with that cover image is a rare bit of marketing genius. Then we get to the art. Where “The Night Gardener” relegated itself primarily to blues and blacks and grays, “The Antlered Ship” is a dawn and magic hour story. No sky is ever a clear baby blue. They are are rose and peach at down, gray and white in storms, deep navy and white at night, and sometimes that strange misty white you get on a day when the sky isn’t really any color at all. Watch what the Fan Brothers do with their skies as the book progresses. There’s a method to their madness here. The delicacy of the images is also of particular note. Watching the care with which they render not just the antlered ship but also the ship of the invading pirates I was reminded of that old seafaring picture book classic, “The Island of the Skog” by Steven Kellogg. That book too took an interest in sailing and small woodland creatures. Here, the meticulousness of the Fan pens and pencils is not limited to rigging and figureheads. The animals also show a great deal of loving care. The first time you officially meet Victor and his pigeon crew you get a very good look at the iridescent feathers that grace their throats. Rock pigeons are such lovely creatures, it’s nice to see them get their due. The art is also not without humor. I have spent more time than I care to mention staring at deformed pigeon feet on the streets of Manhattan, so giving a pigeon a peg leg seemed an act of mercy as well as humor. Oh. And I should note that if you’re thinking long and hard about how precisely deer and pigeons would go about raising and lowering the sails on a boat as massive as this one, then maybe this is not the book for you.If I have any objection to the book, it is the ending. Not that the ending is bad or falls flat necessarily. It just happens to be about four pages too long. Slater actually caps off the book’s text perfectly when she writes, “There were so many questions left to answer. And so many more to ask.” The first time I read this aloud I remember giving a satisfied sigh… until I turned that page and found that inexplicably the book was still going. What valuable information is contained on those last four pages? Just the fact that the friends are, indeed, still sailing on the ship together, just as they’d discussed before. Now I know all too well that picture books are hampered considerably by page counts that they cannot shift, no matter how much they’d like to. That’s one of the reasons I like them so much. Just the same, there are workarounds. Wordless breathtaking spreads are one magnificent way of taking care of the issue. The way the book stands now, it feels like the author doesn’t trust the reader to accept that the birds, deer, and fox will continue their adventures and that we need some kind of visual proof.Like all good adventure tales the story begins with a hero’s quest and takes that hero not to their intended destination, but to what they were actually searching for deep down all along. In this way, the adventure book is not all that different from an adult novel. Joseph Campbell would, I like to think, approve of “The Antlered Ship”. It is, I should note, a quiet adventure, best suited to bedtimes and one-on-one readings rather than exciting group readalouds. But for those children that are allowed to dive deep into its sweetly saturated pages, the book has the capability of sequestering its images deep into the innermost folds of their little brains. This is a book that will find its ways into their dreams for decades upon decades upon decades to come. Could a book ask for anything more? For ages 4-7

A wonderful story about being inquisitive, making friends, and adventure. The Fan Brothers artwork in this book is gorgeous and doesn't disappoint!

This book is incredibly creative and different. My son begged to read it every night when it first arrived. The illustrations are stunning and the story is absolutely charming.

This is a spectacularly illustrated story about adventure, journey and friendship. It is told lovingly about a fox setting out on an adventure on a boat run by deer. Pidgins are added to the mix. Fox has many questions to answer about life. He is seeking out other foxes to give him his answers. He discovers that he can share adventure, make friends and seek answers from other animals. This book provides a good opportunity to discuss important questions and feelings with children.

Awesome illustrations, storyline is a little weak from an adult perspective. My 4 year old grandson informed me however, that this was his favorite book! Soooo....
