I am totally delighted with this book. I got it just in time for Easter, packed nicely and delivered on time.The bonded leather smells nice, has a beautiful deep rich color, has just the right flexibility, and feels great in the hand. The size is very convenient, easy to handle, although a bit too big for carrying in a blazer pocket. I find it just right.The text is of course standard, so not much to say there. But, the typeface on the common prayer side is very normal and easy to read. On the Bible side the text is smaller. However, it is very crisp and clear and easy to read even for these old eyes. Having read previous reviews I bought a magnifier just in case -- not needed. The paper quality is first rate and it comes with five colored ribbons, enough for all uses.All in all, I could not be more pleased with this edition of the Book of Common Prayer.

I ordered this primarily to get a simple, straightforward copy of the NRSV of the Bible without study notes or reference material. I considered the inclusion of the Book of Common Prayer to be a "bonus." My biggest surprise upon receving the volume was the size. The book is quite small in dimensions (though exactly as advertised), and the font is slightly greater than microscopic, particulalry when viewed with my aging eyes. The font is advertised as being 9 pt, but I feel it is smaller, or at least seems to be. I would honestly place it closer to 6 points, but I am not an expert. That having been said, the book is well manufactured, the five marker ribbons are a great asset, and at least with a pair of readers on, the text is legible and bleedthrough is minimal. It has a hefty feel, One benefit to the small size is that the volume is really quite portable and packable.

When I was but a wee lad my priest had one of these. I had looked for one for years and finally found it here. Stuck it in my wish box for the longest time because it was almost $90. I got it for less than $40. AND I ot it as a gift for my wife. She is very pleased. And I get to take advantage of it as well vicariously.

This volume also includes the Apocrypha, also presented in a practical fashion consistent with the translation of the overall Biblical canon.A word of caution for those with less-than-perfect vision: keep your glasses handy. The print is very small, particularly for the Biblical texts (the prayer book section uses a slightly larger typeface). It's a small price to pay for such a nice, compact design but it is one that might prove problematic for some readers. Consider that before buying.

When I saw that the cover was leather, I was willing to pay the price for the book even though the other reviewers were saying that the bible print was a bit small but now that it's here, the leather is not genuine leather. It's very very thin and perhaps bonded? The cover is not bound to the book except on the front and back flaps and I'm afraid that after years of use, they will start tearing.Other than the cover, I do not have any complaints about the book. The print is smaller in the bible than the prayer book but not to the point that I need to bring the book closer to my eyes to read it. The book will stay open on the edge of the pew in front of me without my holding it which was important to me as I said my prayers. The amount of ribbons are good as are the different colors. The book could have been a bit larger but I'm not uphappy with the size. Makes it easy for travel.This would be a great gift bible as the front pages have thick textured paper to record who gave the bible, when the person was baptized, had communion, confirmed and married.

This was purchased as a gift and was well received.

I found the print too small for my old eyes. I preparing to return it when a family member looked at it and liked it so I gave it to them for their use. Unfortunately for me, it did not work. I have since ordered a Prayer Book with larger print from another source which indicated in their advertisement the size of the print.

Finally! A prayer book and bible combined, eliminating the need to carry around two books! I like the prayer book placed in the front and bible placed after it. My only criticism is the overall size which is a bit small which created the need for a smaller font. I would have preferred a larger book, with larger, easier to read font.

Mine came shipped brand new wrapped in plastic. But starting on page 97 it looks like two machine parts dug into and through the page, resulting in denting multiple pages thereafter. I'm getting a replacement shipped at no cost to me.Update: my replacement wasn't shipped properly for it's weight and got damaged, top and bottom of spine dented. I called Amazon and they Fedex'd me a new copy, that I got the next morning! :) And they gave me a partial refund! This copy was fine.Amazon rocks!It will be a great addition to my fashion coffee table books. Very please with the profiles of each model. Beautiful photos. Well done.

This book is laid out for micro printing and half the page it seems is unused. I can barely fit the information onto the space provided. I simply hate writing in it and I wish I never bought it. Spend the money and get something better.
