I bought 20 books of this series. As a beginner English student, those collections have been very helpful during my study. It contains a variety of different subjects such as history, famous people, places and events. I really recommend these books for beginners or even for adults who wants a brief information about those books.
I purchased this book for my son who was behind in school with his reading. The book cover with what looks like bobble heads got his attention. He is in the 3rd grade and finds this reading easier for him to understand while learning about our history.
It's a great book for my 8 year old who picked Lincoln for a short book report. It easy to read for him and answered all of the questions he had about President Lincoln.
Love it. I have read several of the "Who was" books to my kids. Then they read them on their own a year or so later. GREAT BOOKS!
The biography is complete and interesting for young learners. I bought them for students who learn English as a second language and they are suitable for them.
My son could not put this book down. He enjoyed reading about his current favorite historical figure. He has even picked out a few more he wants to read from the series.
My daughter did a presentation on President Abraham Lincoln and the source material she had available was a bit much for the work to be enjoyable. This book was ordered alongside of a hat/beard costume piece (which was needed for the presentation). The book worked wonders and was well regarded by all of the children that read it. I will buy more from this series of books because the quality was solid.
My ADHD grandson has to read a nonfiction history text for a book report for 5th grade. I am always concerned when I buy a book if it will grab his attention. This did. And has a lot of information for his "newspaper front page" book report.
