For a book at home for school

great to have your kids textbooks at home. Lightens the load in the backpack and kids can't tell you they forgot their homework!

Great book (a heavy one too) - this is why we are very happy to have this spare book at home. My daughter does not need to carry this home each day. Great transaction - thank you!

There are many pages torn in this book. Normally if that is the case you will see this in the description / condition of the item. It's very disappointing.

Book was in excellent condition.

I've used this text for several years, but only because I had no choice. I have trouble with a textbook when it states that North Korea has a communist government and South Korea has a non-communist government. Has the editorial staff never heard of a democracy or perhaps a republic. Give me a break. Even the maps are unacceptable, even though National Geographic is their partner. The text we had prior to this was the Silver Burdett publication. I've missed the Silver Burdett ever since. The script in the Glencoe is essentially the 'principal products of Peru' approach to the reading. This textbook is dreadful. Do yourself a favor and go with a different publisher.

This book is a beautiful illustration of the world and its people. I love the graphic pictures of the many cultures and its in depth perceptions. It's very colorful in more ways than one! thanks.
